Music Director/Teaching Artist- Citadel Theatre Education
Citadel Theatre Education, a non-profit Education program located in Lake Forest, IL seeks a passionate Teaching Artist to join their awesome Education team as a part of their Musical Theatre Academy program for Six the Musical: Teen Edition and Willy Wonka Jr.

As a Teaching Artist with Citadel, you will play a pivotal role in the arts education of students our amazing enthusiastic students. Working closely with the directing team and students to create a final production that all will be proud of. Music Directors should be nurturing, supportive, and have a fun attitude all while teaching the techniques needed to perform in their show.

NOTE: 2 years plus Music Direction experience, teaching artist experience and theatre experience preferred.
Responsibilities include:
·       Collaborate with the Director of Education and Directors of show on casting, rehearsals and performance expectations
·       Teach students techniques for them to be successful in their show.
·       Shows will be tracked, making sure students will be successful with these is a must.
·       Attend meetings as needed for production/program
·       Be at all performances and assisting to make sure students have best show possible.
·       Support and make sure you are part of setting up students for success.
·       Help/clean up with team at check in and out at rehearsals and performances

Dates for this contract: Music Director for Six the Musical: Teen Edition would be available August 13, 2024 6pm-9pm; August 19th 5:30pm-9:30pm.  Rehearsals Start September 15th (Sundays and Weekday eveinings typically no more than 3 days a week).  Performances November 20th-November 25th.

Dates Willy Wonka Jr- Will start September 28, 2024, Final Performances December 13th-16th.
