Schedule Details

● Staff run: October 25, 2022

● First Tech: October 29, 2022

● First Preview: November 2, 2022

● Closing performance: January 1, 2023.

● 8 shows per week, Wednesday-Sunday

● There are no 10 out of 12 days


● Support the Wardrobe Supervisor to accomplish all wardrobe needs for the show, reporting to our Wardrobe Supervisor.

● Independently design and set a backstage track with a primary focus on dressing and supervising the Young Performers (YP). Casting is still being finalized, but there are about 15 YPs in the show (including outside swings/understudies) ranging in ages from 9-13 years old.

● Help organize, load in, and set up all dressing rooms in preparation for tech.

● Assist with some hair/makeup prep for YPs. Possibly some very light wig maintenance.

● Work with YPs to design, execute, and streamline reliable and efficient quick changes.

● Assist with pre and post show laundry and costume repair/maintenance as assigned by the Wardrobe Supervisor.

● Outside of specific wardrobe duties, you will assist our Young Performer Supervisor with various tasks, as available. This might include (but is not limited to): check in/out, administer basic first aid, escort or supervise YPs backstage at different points in the show, etc.

● Create, adapt, and maintain excellent paperwork with photos related to your track.

● Train a cover to accomplish your track in the event of an emergency.

● Assist with strike duties at the end of the production.

Preferred Experience and Skills

● Basic hand sewing and machine sewing skills. Examples may include: replacing buttons/snaps, repairing zippers, patching/reinforcing rips or holes in various types of fabric, adjusting hem lines, etc.

● Knowledge of effective ironing, steaming, handwashing techniques.

● Experience designing and troubleshooting quick changes with actors of various experience levels.

● Professional experience working with young people in a supervisory role.

● Ability to work productively and positively under time pressure to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.

● Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other members of the crew.

● Strong interpersonal skills and flexibility to problem solve effectively as changes are made throughout the production process.

● First aid/CPR certification or experience.

● Must have reliable transportation.

● Must be able to provide documentation of full vaccination of a US-government approved COVID19 vaccine regimen for COVID19 at the time of hire.

Pay Rate/Range*: $20 hourly for rehearsals, $700 per 8 show week on a 1099 contract
