REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
Remy Bumppo Theatre Company is seeking proposals from artists for the design and execution of its 2025 – 2026, 30th Anniversary Annual Benefit invitation suite.
The objective of this project is to create an Annual Benefit invitation suite concept that is eye catching, timeless, presents the information in a clear and inviting manner, and helps us celebrate our 30th anniversary while promoting our Annual Benefit.
The graphic designer will be responsible for four main pieces of collateral, including graphics and layout: save the date postcard, invitation suite (including invitation, reply card, insert card, outer and reply envelopes), printed program, and digital assets for website and social media.

Since its inception in 1996, Remy Bumppo has produced a blend of modern classics and complex contemporary works, presented in an intimate setting with clarity, wit and passion. We invite audiences to engage directly with the art through conversation with the artists.
PROJECT DETAILS AND DEADLINES
The graphic designer will be expected to provide / attend the following:
Conceptualizing and initial direction | August 2025
- A concept meeting with Remy Bumppo Development Manager, Artistic Director, and Executive Director
- 3 initial design directions
- A draft of the design concept
- Final design concept
Save-the-date | Early September 2025
- A rough draft of Save-the-date
- A final version of Save-the-date / print ready files
- Save-the-date digital assets
Annual Benefit Invitation | December 2025 – January 2026
- Invitation Suite concept
- Rough draft of the Invitation Suite, including:
- Invitation
- Reply device
- Reply envelope
- Outer envelope
- Insert
- Final version of the Invitation Suite / print ready files (see above)
- Invitation digital assets
Annual Benefit Program | March 2026
- Program concept
- Program rough draft
- Program final version / print ready files

PAY RATE / HOURS EXPECTED
Flat fee of – $2,000 (to be paid upon completion of work)
Expected 30-35 hours of work total
PROJECT TIMELINE
Project Timeline (subject to change) –
- July 2nd, 2025 – Distribution of RFP
- July 30th, 2025 – Deadline for proposals
- August 8th, 2025 – Artist selected and agreement completed
- The week of August 11th, 2025 – Design concept meeting with selected artist
OWNERSHIP
The artist will retain ownership of any ideas submitted for consideration until a final selection has been made and an agreement will be signed between Remy Bumppo Theatre Company and the selected artist.
At that time, Remy Bumppo Theatre Company will obtain 100% ownership of artwork produced, in whatever stage of completion, and the artwork shall become the property of Remy Bumppo Theatre Company as a work made for hire as defined by the copyright laws of the United States.
The following is required for consideration as a completed proposal:

2. Resume/CV for artist
3. Concept design proposal(s) (Maximum of three (3))
4. Examples of past work, either attached as a PDF or with a shared web address to a digital portfolio (Maximum of five (5))
5. Professional references (Minimum of two (2)).
