Board Operator/Mixer

The Den Theatre is currently seeking individuals to add to their Board Operator/Mixer roster. This role is charged with operating all technical elements for comedy shows in either our Heath Mainstage or 2A comedy space.

Desired skills:

• Knowledge in Theatrical Lighting and Sound.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Impeccable professionalism and customer service.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to lift and carry 20lbs.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Running Audio/Visual Cues for Heath Shows:
  • Running Light cues on an ETC ION.
  • Mixing on a Digital MIDAS M32 soundboard.
  • Playing/ choosing pre-show music.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Turning on monitors and running projections from Google Slides or Q-Lab.
  • Setting up the stage with mics, stools, minimal set decor, etc.
  • Sound checks with talent.
• Running Audio/ Visual cues for 2a Shows:
  • Running Light cues on an ETC Colorsource.
  • Mixing on a Analog sound board
  • Playing/ choosing pre-show music.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Turning on monitors and running projections from Google Slides or Q-Lab.
  • Setting up the stage with mics, stools, minimal set decor, etc.
  • Sound checks with talent

Goals:

• Provide artists with the highest level of care possible.
• Provide the audience with the best production experience possible.

Compensation:

• Stipend: $100 per-performance, two performances per-night is common.
• Complimentary tickets to shows not performed in the Heath Theatre
• Standby tickets to Heath performances.
• Den Discounts on Merchandise and Bar Sales.

Evening and weekend availability are a must.
