Promoting, Supporting, and Advocating for Chicago Theatre
Work Model: Outdoor/ Indoor Festivals around Chicagoland and deliveries of marketing materials. The schedule will include weekends. This position does require attendance at events for the League of Chicago Theatres.
Reports to: Festival Coordinator
Some of the role’s specific and essential tasks may include:
- Moving and lifting equipment for the festivals (pop up tent, folding table, tent weights, etc)
- Transporting marketing materials for the festival
- Engaging with patrons at festivals and events, handing out marketing materials, speak about the League of Chicago Theatres, Hot Tix, and our member organizations. Being bilingual in English and Spanish is a highly preferred skill for the position
- Play digital theatre trivia with patrons or other games as created by the League Team
- On occasion, help create and organize a kids craft table
- Delivery of fliers to Chicagoland hotels, theatres, and businesses (use of a vehicle is preferred, but not mandatory)
Experience & Knowledge:
Minimum requirements include basic knowledge of Chicagoland theatres, shows happening in Chicagoland, and customer service experience
