The Auditorium Ticketing Manager oversees all aspects of ticketing operations, ensuring a seamless, guest-focused experience from ticket purchase to event/show entry. This role is responsible for event/show set-up/builds, scaling, daily management/oversight of ticketing platforms, inventory, reporting, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners to support The Auditorium’s continued diversification of programming and overall mission. The ideal candidate is highly organized, relentlessly efficient, tech-savvy, able to work well with others and passionate about live events and community arts access. The Auditorium averages 125 performances and attracts 300,000 guests each year.
Key Responsibilities:
Ticketing Operations
Oversee all daily ticketing operations, including event builds, inventory control, and pricing structures in ticketing software (e.g., Ticketmaster, AXS, Tessitura).
Ensure ADA and community access ticketing policies are followed and enforced.
Maintain accurate records of ticket sales, attendance, and patron data.
· Build all potential GPs & event scaling
· Work with production and front of house on seating setup configuration
· Close partnership with Box Office from event/show set-ups through event/show day
· Work with promoters for approvals on event build setups
· Price changes, date change & scaling changes
· Monitor events from start to finish
· Do necessary pre-settlement prior to event day
· Review final settlement after event (BO Treasurer completes)
Team Supervision & Guest Relations/Customer Service
Provide exceptional customer service, resolving issues or concerns efficiently and empathetically when needed and in partnership with FOH and Marketing
Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all guests as part of Auditorium
Collaboration & Communications – Ticketing System Administration
Serve as Auditorium point person with external Ticketing platform partners
Work with the Marketing team to implement ticketing promotions, pre-sales, and audience engagement strategies…setting up/testing offers, codes, etc.
Collaborate with Development to support donor cultivating and ticketed relationship
Coordinate with Production and Front of House teams to ensure smooth run-up to day-of-show operations – including seating configurations
Serve as strategic partner to Finance team
· Work with promoters for approvals on event build setups
· Manage user setups and assist with needed training of systems
· Advise departments on best practices and system limitations
· Attend meetings/conferences as needed
Reporting & Analysis
Generate regular/timely reports on ticket sales, revenue, and audience demographic trends making recommendations as the outcome
Analyze sales and ticketing trends to develop data-driven pricing, marketing, and outreach strategies and opportunities including audience similarities and the ability to turn repeat buyers into donors, etc. making recommendations as the outcome
Ensure compliance with financial procedures, reconciliation, and audits.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, hospitality or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
3+ years of experience in ticketing, box office management, or a related field.
Strong proficiency in all ticketing systems and CRM tools.
Ability to think creatively to achieve revenue goals
Strong leadership and guest service skills.
Ability to manage multiple events and priorities with attention to detail is a MUST
Commitment to equity, accessibility, and the mission of a nonprofit arts organization.
Preferred:
Experience working in a nonprofit, performing arts or concert venue setting.
Familiarity with community outreach and access initiatives
Working knowledge of ADA and public event compliance.
Work Environment:
Some evening and weekend availability is required based on event/show schedule.
Occasional on-site presence during events and performances
