Simple Theatre is seeking strong improvisors, performers, and/or writers. We need 3 to 4 people to help create a show to be performed in late August.
Five Writing Sessions will be from 9:30 am to Noon, Saturdays:
May 23rd May 30th
June 13th June 20th
July 11th OR July 18th
In Bezazian Library’s meeting room, 1226 W. Ainslie Street (near Red Line Argyle stop.)
The process will be structured; but flexible and open enough for exploration. First, we’ll determine our aim and purpose then we’ll take ourselves just seriously enough to create a great show.
Breakfast Pay: Bagels (toaster available) w/spread, fruit, and coffee; can accommodate similar alternatives. A $100 bill will be paid at the end of the final Writing Session.
PERFORMING IN THE SHOW: We will be writing with the expectation that the writers will also perform the show; performers will be compensated separate from the writing.
FYI to that end: rehearsals will be mid-week evenings, starting in July at Theatre Momentum. Performances will be standard days and times – opening August 27th through September 13th at the Jarvis Square Theatre.
