Ghostlight Ensemble asks questions that challenge the status quo
Ghostlight Ensemble is seeking a Sound Designer for its fall production of American Son by Christopher Demos-Brown.
American Son follows an estranged biracial couple who must confront their feelings about race and bias after their son is detained by the local police following a traffic stop incident. Their disparate histories and backgrounds inform their assumptions as they try to find out what happened to their son.
Key Dates:
Sound Designer will be available for virtual production meetings, in-person designer run, tech week and strike. Dates confirmed according to cast and production team availability.
Production Schedule:
Rehearsals in August and September, 2026 on weeknights.
Tech week: Sunday, September 13 in the afternoon and Monday, September 14 through Thursday, September 17 in the evenings.
Performances: Show will run Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Monday evenings and Sunday afternoon matinees from Thursday, September 17 through Sunday, October 4, 2026.
Strike: Sunday, October 4, 2026.
