The Education Manager oversees all day-to-day activities of Adventure Stage Chiacgo (ASC) Education programs, including the Neighborhood Bridges classroom residency program, Curtain Conversations, out-of-school programming (such as After School and Summer Camp) and additional educational or community workshops and participatory experiences. The Education Manager is also responsible for developing and coordinating all curriculum, lesson plans, assessment and evaluation associated with ASC Education programs. The Education Manager supervises AmeriCorps members, independent contractors and interns and works within given expense budgets. Additionally, the Education Manager aggregates all educational content to be used in marketing materials, learning guides, lobby activities and displays. The Education Manager meets regularly with the Producing Artistic Director and Executive Director of Adventure Stage Chicago to assess progress and set goals. They should be comfortable working in a deadline-oriented environment and be a confident, prompt communicator. The Education Manager is expected to be proactive, self-motivated and enthusiastic for the mission of the Settlement and ASC. In service to the young people and families we serve, the Education Manager is expected to adhere to the values of community, imagination, empowerment and excellence.
