DIRECT REPORTING – Director of Front of House Operations/Vice President of Programming and Sales

WORKS CLOSELY WITH – Operations

POSITION STATUS & SCHEDULE – Full time exempt; generally 8-9 hour days Monday-Friday; extended hours during tech for Broadway Series productions and on presented event days; some weekends, evenings and holidays

 

COMPENSATION – Annual salary with excellent benefits package including health, paid time off, and 401k

POSITION SUMMARY – Maintain and care for our facilities across a number of buildings as designated.  Paramount Arts Theatre (PAC) located at 8 E. Galena Blvd., Paramount Costume and Wig Shop located at 5 E. Downer Pl., Paramount Warehouse located at 515 Hill Ave., Paramount School of Arts located at 20 S. Stolp in the John C. Dunham Aurora Arts Center and River Edge Park (REP) located at 360 N. Broadway.  All facilities are located in Aurora, Il.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES –

·         Manage Janitorial Crew

·         Empty trash from all receptacles and insert clean trash bags into each receptacle

·         Sweep, clean and mop solid floor surfaces, including all hallways and rooms

·         Clean and disinfect bathrooms, including counters, toilets and floor after/prior to each event.  Stock bathroom supplies as needed

·         Vacuum and remove stains from carpeted areas as needed

·         Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors as needed

·         Periodic and special cleaning as requested

·         Ensure that cleaning machines are in good working order (i.e. vacuums, floor scrubbers, carpet cleaners, etc.)

·         Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision

·         Ability to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies

·         Adherence to all applicable health and safety regulations

·         Report safety or security violations immediately to supervisor

·         Report maintenance deficiencies and items in need of repair

·         Work within budget

·         Pre-show, show and post-show responsibilities

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS and ABILITIES OR WILLINGNESS AND ABILITY TO LEARN –

·         Work experience as custodian, janitor or similar role

·         Willing to learn how to use industrial cleaning equipment and appliances and how to maintain them; sterilization methods, and safety protocols such as disposal of chemicals and other hazardous items

·         Detail oriented and conscientiousness

·         Stamina, good physical condition

·         Ability to work 8 hours on your feet and physical strength to lift 30 lbs.

·         Ability to communicate effectively

·         Must have reliable transportation to travel to different facilities
