BoHo Theatre seeks creative, organized, dynamic and passionate professional to join its team as Executive Director. This position is responsible for overseeing both production and operations management of the company and serves as the Executive Producer for each production, as well as fulfilling all general company member responsibilities. They will work closely with the Artistic Director, Managing Director, Company and Board, both on a daily basis as well as in planning and implementing strategies for future growth of the company.

Compensation: Yearly stipend Rate: 8,000-10,000/year
Hours: Approx. 20-25 hrs/month

● Production Roles:

  • Oversee the hiring and on-boarding of production staff including: Scenic Designer, Costume Designer, Lighting Designer, Props Manager, Stage Manager, Production Manager, TD and intern/over hire where applicable
  • Post ads and host job interviews o Coordinate roles & responsibilities with Artistic Director
  • Issue and administrate staff contracts (designer & cast)
  • Responsible for executing and managing production and season budgets with Managing Director
  • Process all reimbursement requests and receipts for production-related expenses
  • Responsible for production staff communication
  • Attend and participate in all production meetings, company retreats, and fundraising events
  • Facilitate the execution of production plan
  • With assistance from Production Manager, coordinate and execute load-in and strike plan
  • Primary liaison for The Greenhouse Theater Center o When applicable, primary point of contact for vendor contracts including third-party rentals
  • Serve as the point of contact for cast, design team, press, VIPs, board, and company members during the production process
  • House manager/press and Jeff Committee liaison for previews and BoHo opening nights

● Serve as liaison to the Board of Directors

  • Attend all board meetings and assist Artistic Director with reporting on company/production status
  • Coordinate communication with the Board of Directors along with the Secretary

● Serve as the Company Liason

  • Attending and lead all company meetings with the Artistic Director
  • Coordinate communication with the company regarding day-to-day operations of the theatre
  • Responsibilities as outlined in the BoHo company member job description

● Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related management discipline preferred

Years of Experience
● 3+ years’ experience in theatre arts/theatre management preferred

● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
● Proficiency in Google Mobile platforms
