Breckenridge Backstage Theatre is looking for a stage manager for their production of Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol (Solo Show), By Tom Mula, and Directed by Jamal Howard.
Rehearsals will take place in Chicago at TUTA Theatre (4670 North Manor, Albany Park) from Nov. 9 – 30 and then transfer to the theatre for tech and performance at Breckenridge Backstage Theatre, 151 Ridge Ave, Breckenridge, CO, with Producing Artistic Director Jacqueline Stone from Dec. 1 – 31, 2025.
We are looking for stage managers who have local housing in Chicago for the duration of rehearsals Nov. 9 – 30, and have daytime rehearsal availability. We will consider SM’s who can only do the rehearsal period. We are also considering candidates that can travel with the show, and local housing will be provided in Breckenridge, CO.

Performances: Dec. 13 – 30, 2025
Maintain daily on-time arrival for all rehearsals and performances.
Assist the director during rehearsals, recording detailed notes and communicating updates to the cast, production team, and staff.
Ensure safety of all participants by checking that rehearsal and performance spaces meet safety standards; promptly communicate any concerns to the Producing Artistic Director.
Oversee and maintain clean, organized rehearsal spaces, dressing rooms, and performance areas, leading cast and crew in this effort.
Send daily calls, rehearsal reports, and performance reports promptly after each session or show.
Serve as the main point of contact during technical rehearsals, running the room efficiently and keeping the production on schedule.
During the run of the show, uphold the director’s and creative team’s vision through consistent communication and leadership.
Call the show, trigger all cues, and follow established startup and shutdown procedures as outlined by the Lighting and Sound Designers.
Maintain the highest professional and artistic standards as a representative and leader of Breckenridge Backstage Theatre.
