POSITION: PATRON SERVICE ASSOCIATE

At the Chicago Magic Lounge, our mission is to bring the wonder and excitement of Chicago’s signature close-up and parlor magic to the city’s vibrant nightlife while building a dynamic community of professional magicians.

We host performances seven nights a week, always with a fresh lineup, so every visit is a brand-new adventure! Whether you are discovering our hidden entrances, catching a magician behind the bar, or marveling at stage shows and walk-around table magic, you are in for an unforgettable night of wonder.

The Chicago Magic Lounge is seeking friendly, professional Patron Services Associates (PSAs) to join our team. PSAs play a vital role in creating an exceptional guest experience while supporting the unique atmosphere of Chicago’s premier destination for live magic.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience

• Welcome and assist guests throughout their visit
• Provide friendly, attentive service and answer guest questions
• Maintain a professional presence on the floor and throughout the space at all times
• Use inclusive, person-first language when interacting with patrons
• Be knowledgeable about venue FAQs, the building, the magic collection, as well as our rotating roster of entertainment

Front of House Operations

• Greet guests and check tickets
• Manage guest flow and lines outside the venue
• Escort guests to seats and provide show information
• Monitor audience experience during performances
• Support magicians and service staff during cocktail hour and shows
• Opportunity to cross-train for Box Office Attendant

Venue Support

• Assist with light cleaning, bussing tables, and restocking supplies
• Check restrooms periodically and maintain cleanliness
• Communicate with staff via radio during service
• Help ensure all patrons have a safe and enjoyable experience

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Friendly, professional demeanor
• Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand and move throughout the venue during shifts
• Interest in hospitality, entertainment, or live performance is a plus

Schedule

• Chicago Magic Lounge currently has part-time openings on our Patron Services team. We are primarily a nightlife destination, as such shifts are typically evenings and weekends during performances, with occasional special events that fall outside of normal business hours.
