Seeking additional booth support for our upcoming production of THE ART OF BELONGING for Chicago Theatre Week 2026.
The Art of Belonging is a one-act production combining the short stories of Filipino writer Bienvenido Santos, and the restored 16mm films of farmer and filmmaker Nicholas Viernes of Filipinos in the Midwest and in Chicago as early as the 1920s. This performance is part of the 2026 Chicago Theatre Week.
- Performances at Rizal Center (1332 W. Irving Park)
- Tech: Sunday February 8th 6-10PM
- Dress Rehearsals: Monday February 9th and Tuesday February 10th, 6-10PM
- Performances: Wednesday February 11th, Thursday February 12th, Friday February 13th, Saturday February 14th at 7PM (6PM Call), Sunday February 15th at 2PM (1PM Call)
- Possible Extension: Friday February 20th, Saturday February 21st, Sunday February 22nd (not required but let us know if you are available, stipend will be adjusted if extended)
Board Operator responsibilities and skills
- Operate board cues through QLAB (sound and video through projector) and light panel cues (through mini-light board) for the run of the show
- Familiarity with running QLAB
- Familiarity with operating or troubleshooting standard project and screen (can walk through with team together)
- Open to learning light booth cues on board
- Additional support as needed if Line Producer, Director, or Front of House need assistance (ie. adding more audience chairs, setup and strike, etc.)
