Position Overview
Collaboraction is seeking an Assistant Stage Manager for an immediate hire for Trial in the Delta: The Murder of Emmett Till. This is a last-minute replacement due to our current ASM stepping away for personal reasons.
We are looking for a calm, adaptable, and detail-oriented ASM who can step into an active performance process and provide steady support to the Stage Manager and Cast.
This production explores powerful and historically significant subject matter. We are seeking someone who can engage with difficult material thoughtfully and professionally, and who can support the cast in their work without discomfort, avoidance, or hesitation.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Stage Manager during ongoing performances
Track props, costumes, and set pieces
Help oversee backstage organization
Step into an already running process with professionalism and flexibility
All performances take place at:
Collaboraction Theater inside the Kimball Arts Center
Performance Schedule
February 19 – 7:30 PM
February 21 – 3:00 PM & 7:30 PM
February 22 – 3:00 PM
February 26 – 7:30 PM
February 28 – 3:00 PM & 7:30 PM
March 1 – 3:00 PM
Possible Extension: March 5–15
Qualifications
Previous stage management or assistant stage management experience strongly preferred
Strong organizational and communication skills
Calm under pressure and solution-oriented
Reliable, punctual, and collaborative
