Collaboraction’s mission is to incite social change through original devised theatre and community engagement that cultivates knowledge, dialogue and action around Chicago’s most critical social issues.
Who should apply for this position:
Interns who have a strong desire to learn about day-to-day artistic programming should apply. This position largely works in an administrative capacity, with occasional nighttime and weekend hours. The artistic internship is the best fit for Directors, dramaturgs, and playwrights who wish to gain experience working in an artistic department.
Position is supervised by:
The intern will work directly with Collaboraction’s artistic staff to produce mainstage and supplemental programming. This includes gaining experience in curating festival programming, casting, observation of and minute taking for both production meetings and meetings of the Artistic Office, providing dramaturgical support on current productions, and other day-to-day office support as needed. Working hands-on with writers, directors, actors, and designers on an administrative level.
