Position Designation: Full Time, Hourly

 

Standard Pay Structure:

·       $18.00 per hour plus commission

 

Position Reports To: Sales Director

 

Position Purpose and Objectives

Under the direct supervision of the Sales Director, this position focuses on driving membership renewals at the launch of a new theatrical season, and includes outreach to single-ticket buyers with the goal of converting them into members. The Membership Sales Representative plays a vital role in ensuring a successful season at Drury Lane Theatre by selling season memberships to both existing and prospective members.

This role requires meeting set sales goals and timelines, delivering exceptional customer service, and representing Drury Lane Theatre with professionalism and enthusiasm.

 

Specific Job Responsibilities

Make outbound calls to current, lapsed, and non-renewed members, as well as single-ticket buyers.
Present clear, engaging talking points highlighting the benefits of membership and the excitement of the upcoming season.
Close sales during calls or schedule follow-ups where needed.
Secure patron seating and process membership payments in the ticketing system.
Track sales using provided materials and ensure management has access for review.
Send e-marketing materials to prospective patrons.
Enter order data for weekly payroll and submit to the Sales Director by deadlines to ensure accurate commission payouts.
Schedule:

Minimum of 40 hours per week.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Required Qualifications:

2–3 years of recent sales experience, including cold calling, negotiating, and closing sales.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
Reliable transportation to Oakbrook Terrace (public transit is limited).
COVID-19 vaccination and booster.
Preferred: Associate degree.
