Automation Run Crew – On Your Feet

Position Reports To: Technical Director

Opportunity:
Drury Lane Theatre is seeking detail oriented, focused individuals to program and operate automation for our upcoming production of On Your Feet: The Gloria and Emilio Estefan Musical.

 

The Automation Run Crew will begin work the week of Tech for On Your Feet, by programming the show and running automation cues during Dry Tech and assist with scene shifts when Automation is not in use. The Automation Run Crew will be present for all technical rehearsals and will handle any changes to automation cues or scene shifts based on their run sheet.

 

Once performances being, the Automation Run Crew will be present for all shows, handling all pre and post show tasks assigned to them, as well as running their show track for each performance. The Automation Run Crew will be present for any additional rehearsals prior to Press Opening, and may be required to attend any full company put in rehearsals following Press Opening.

 

Schedule and Anticipated Time Commitment
· Technical Rehearsals: January 20th – 25, 2026: 56 Hours

· Previews and Additional Rehearsals: January 28th – February 1st, 2026: 42 Hours

· Press Week: February 3rd – 8th: 42 Hours

· Show Run: February 11th – March 22nd, 2026: 32 Hours

· Typical Show Week Schedule (32-40 hours per week):

• Wednesday: 12p call, 1:30p performance

• Thursday: 12p call, 1:30p performance

• Thursday: 5:30p call, 7p performance

• Friday: 5:30p call, 7p performance

• Saturday: 1:30p call, 3p performance

• Saturday: 6:30p call, 8p performance

• Sunday: 12:30p call, performances at 2p and 6p

 

Essential Knowledge Required
· 1 year experience Programming and Running Creative Conners’ Spikemark software

· 1 year experience in a run crew role

· Be able to read Scene Shift Paperwork

· Must not be afraid of heights

Expectation of Position
·       Be available for all of Tech, requested rehearsals, and performances

·       See at least one Run Through prior to Tech

·       Be able to work in a fast-paced environment

·       Availability for weekly maintenance calls

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate, converse with, and exchange information, required to be in stationary seated position, use hands and fingers to grab and reach with hands and arms, occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch, may occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds, specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus and specific hearing abilities

Pay and Benefits
$18-20 an hour, depending on experience
