Position Reports To: Production Manager
Opportunity:
Drury Lane Theatre is seeking a detail-oriented, focused individual who will lead the installation of
all needs of the Projection Department, to the specifications of the Projection Designer, for our
upcoming production of On Your Feet: The Story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan.
On Your Feet will have 5 projectors (2 front projectors underhung from catwalks, 3 rear projectors
hanging from the grid), as well as 8 columns of video panels implemented in the Set. The Projection
Engineer is responsible for supervising the safe installation of the above items, including video and
network distribution to all respective elements. The Projection Engineer will work with the Projection
Designer on Focusing all Projectors prior to Tech.
During Tech, the Projection Engineer will be present to facilitate the completion of any notes from the
Projection Designer, and create the Power Up and Power down process for projectors and video
panels to share with the Master Electrician.

Time Commitment:
 Load in Prep is January 5 th through 9 th , 2026 (24 hours estimated)
 Load In begins January 12 th , 2026 and runs through January 18 th , 2026. (32 hours estimated)
 Technical rehearsals run from January 20 th , 2026 through January 27 th , 2026. (56 hours
estimated)

 First performance (preview) January 28 th , 2026
 Additional rehearsals and previews on January 28 th , January 30 th , and February 3 rd , 2026. (16
hours estimated)
 Press Opening February 5 th , 2026
 Closing March 22, 2026
 Estimated Total Time Commitment- 128 hours
Essential Knowledge Required:
 Must have at least 1 year of experience as a Projection Engineer, having worked with
projectors and video panels
 Experience with Isadora is preferred, but not required
 Experience with Timecode is preferred, but not required.
 Must be able to work at heights up to 22’ in Scaffold and Lifts (single person push around and
drivable 2 person lifts)
 Knowledgeable of best practices for hanging Projectors on Schedule 40 Pipe
 Ability to troubleshoot issues with video signal and basic networking
Expectations of Position:
 Be available for needs of Load In, Tech, and programming days prior to Opening
 Managing a Union crew of up to 3 people
 Working with Representative of Rental Company for Installation of Video Panels
 Work with Projection Designer and Production Manager to implement design
 Be available to help trouble shoot any issues that may arise during run of show

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to communicate, converse with
and exchange information, required to be able to be standing and moving for a majority of shifts, use
hands and fingers to grab and reach with hands and arms, occasionally required to stoop, kneed,
crouch, and climb, have the ability to lift and carry up to 75lbs, specific vision abilities include close
vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus and specific hearing abilities
