Fill-in Stage Manager

Idle Muse is seeking a fill-in stage manager for THE BLOOD COUNTESS (now in production) to provide rehearsal and performance coverage for a production stage manager who may need to travel on short notice.

Due to the evolving nature of the situation, we are asking the fill-in stage manager to join the production as soon as possible to learn the show and be prepared to step in if necessary. We expect the coverage period as production stage manager to last at least two weeks, with the possibility of extending to the end of the performance run, if necessary.

Key production dates include:

Rehearsal: In progress – September 5
Q2Q: September 6 & 7
Tech Rehearsal: September 8 – 10
Previews: September 11 & 12
Opening Night: September 13
Performance Run: September 13 – October 11

There is a base stipend of $400 for this role. In addition to the base stipend, Idle Muse operates under a shareholder model, in which a full 50% of box office revenue is reserved and divided evenly among the cast and production team. Idle Muse is an all-volunteer theatre collective with company funds dedicated only to production costs. No funds are reserved for leadership or staff salaries, which are also volunteer positions.
