Background: Loyola University Chicago, College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Fine and Performing Arts (DFPA) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Theatre with a specialization in performance. The Theatre Program features a curriculum that has a strong foundation in theatre history and literature and promotes integration between theory and application. Duties and Responsibilities: The successful applicant should possess the ability to teach all levels of acting in DFPA’s Bachelor’s Degree Program in Theatre and the University Core, as well as to advise students in the major. The ability to teach voice for the actor, movement, stage combat, and intimacy coordination is desirable.
Minimum Qualifications: An MFA or Ph.D. in Theatre from an accredited college or university is required, as is a minimum of three years professional experience in the field and four years of college-level teaching experience.
