PrideArts is looking for an Assistant Stage Manager for our upcoming production of the British panto Rapornzel by Tom Whalley. This year’s show will be directed by Claire Hart Proepper.
Many years ago, the King and Queen of a far off kingdom were blessed with a baby girl with long, magical, downstairs hair. One day the jealous witch Mother F**ker kidnapped the child and locked her in a tower; selfishly squandering her merkin magic for herself. With the help of local hairdresser Dame Fanny Pigtail, her thick as s**t son Pascal, the dashing Prince Ride-her and the Hairy Fairy, will Rapunzel ever come out?
Rehearsals begin September 29. Tech rehearsals begin approximately November 10. Previews November 21 and November 23 with press opening on November 24. The show runs through December 14, with time off for Thanksgiving. All rehearsals and performances will be in The Hoover-Leppen Theatre at Center on Halsted.
NOTE: the Stage Manager will determine the actual start date for the ASM. Typically this date is close to the start of tech.
