Producing works that center on the queer experience.

PrideArts is seeking a costume designer for their upcoming production of Throbbin’ Wood.

The fine folk of Got-wood Forest are terrorized by taxes imposed by the wicked Sheriff of Frottingham who’ll stop at nothing to seize the throne of England and do the dirty with Maid Marian. Only the outlaw Throbbin Wood, Triar F**k and the Horny Men can save the day. With the help of the hapless Silly Willy, his mother Nanny Fanny and the magical Fairy Glitter-ous, can Got-wood be saved from the Sheriff? Or will they be left all a-quiver?

Rehearsals begin September 30 and load-in starts October 21. The show opens on November 18 and runs through December 15. All rehearsals and performances will be held at The PrideArts Center. The costume budget is $700. While most of the costumes can be sourced/pulled, there will be some pieces that need to be constructed. Thinking outside the box is encouraged.  Experience with hair and makeup design is helpful but not necessary.
