SUMMARY

Teatro ZinZanni presents a fully integrated evening of entertainment which includes cirque artists, European cabaret, and comedians with live music and a fabulous multi-course meal.

The smooth operation of Teatro ZinZanni is based on teamwork and the shared responsibility of sales, production, and service staff. Teatro Zinzanni is housed inside a Belgian wooden tent with a capacity of 290 guests, with opulent furnishings and mirrors located on the 14th Floor of the Cambria Hotel. The venue has been operating successfully since 2019. Teatro Zinzanni brings fine dining and extraordinary performance into a unique experience that audiences treasure forever.

POSITION SUMMARY

Our Audience Services team is looking for an enthusiastic, detailed, and team-oriented customer service and ticketing agent.  TZ’s customer service sets the tone for our patrons’ show experience from initial ticket purchase, to entry and exit. The candidate for this role will be expected to learn the ticketing system, manage customer and show data, generate and deliver the NOS package, welcome and check-in guests for performances, and handle sales calls and patron email and in-person inquiries while maintaining an upbeat, welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

This is a seasonal position meant to support our holiday season from November to mid-January.  Evenings and weekends are required and qualified candidates must be able to stand for long periods during show shifts. Shifts begin as early as 9 AM and end as late as 7:30 PM. Box office experience is preferred and familiarity with food service is a plus, but we are willing to train the right people.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities and Duties

The position’s primary function is to provide excellent customer service in support of the audience’s full experience; from initial ticket purchase.  The role will include the following responsibilities:

Providing consistent, professional, and welcoming customer service to all patrons.
Assisting guests with ticket purchases over the phone, in person, and via email, using Showare ticketing software.
Assisting with patron questions and needs, either directly, or by connecting them to the correct department for their inquiries.

  • Processing guest needs accurately into the ticketing database to ensure a quality experience.
  • Processes NOS package effectively and accurately.  Assistis in the creation, distribution, and communication of all night-of-show customer special needs and requests to the restaurant team.  This includes but is not limited to dietary restrictions, special seating requests, prepaid items, accessibility requirements, celebrations, VIP notes, etc.
  • Maintaining knowledge of local events, landmarks, and social buzz.
  • Interacting with varied patrons and staff across multiple departments with confidence and geniality.
  • Greeting, checking in patrons as they enter the theater, and guiding them throughout the venue.
  • Additional potential duties: Setting up the lobby space pre-show.  Operating coat check.
  • Providing excellent one-on-one service for any patrons who may require special assistance at the venue.
  • Additional duties will be assigned as needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS   

Essential skills, education, and experience

  • One year of customer service experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Dependable in both independent and team environments
  • Computer/tablet competency
  • Audience Services/Box Office experience preferred
  • Proficiency in English required
  • Experience with Showare is a plus
  • Proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus

WORKING SCHEDULE/ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are a combination of office environment and a fast-paced theatrical environment which can include loud noise, haze, bright lighting, and strobe lights. The primary schedule is Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, with possible additional shifts as needed.  The schedule and hours will vary according to the show calendar. There may be the opportunity for additional shifts.
