Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: High School Edition (Freshman – Senior)
Position: Raue Center School For The Arts – Props Master
Hours: Varies based on availability
Stipend: $2000

Raue Center School For The Arts (RCSA) is thrilled to be launching its 2025 Season of productions and is looking for a skilled, self-motivated Props Master to join our team for the RCSA production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: High School Edition. Potential Props Master should be a self-starter and an excellent collaborator with the creative team members.

Props Master Responsibilities

  • Understanding the script and production specifications to design or pull props that reflect the look of the show.
  • Researching Harry Potter and the Cursed Child to create thematic and conceptual looks of props.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child based on the lore of Harry Potter to assist in creating props based on the style of the original but SHOULD NOT be copied. Props Master should approach the show in a way that they create their own feel and look.
  • Collaborate with the director and production team to understand the artistic vision, themes, and prop needs of the production.
  • Create detailed prop designs or sketches and present ideas for approval.
    Source, fabricate, or procure all necessary props within the production’s budget and timeline.
  • Modify or repair props as needed during rehearsals and performances.
  • Work with the stage management team to organize and track props during rehearsals and performances.
  • Ensure props are functional, safe, and appropriately suited to the production’s needs.
  • Stay within the allocated budget and provide detailed expense reports.
  • Manage and maintain a props inventory, ensuring proper storage and care of all items.
  • Attend production meetings and a designer run to see the overall flow of the show.
  • Continue polishing and improving props until the final rehearsal.
  • All designers will need to participate in strike, immediately following the final performance (Sunday, June 29th)

Important Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: High School Edition dates:

Auditions & Rehearsal Dates: Auditions & Rehearsal Dates: March 17th – June 29th, 2025
There will be time off during this long process and we will work around things like Spring Break, Prom, Graduation, end of school year events. Rehearsals will begin with perhaps 2 – 3 times a week and then gradually move into more nights as we get closer to the summer.

Show Dates: Thursday, June 26 @ 7 PM | Friday, June 20, 27 @ 8 PM| Saturday, June 21, 28 @ 2 PM & 7 PM | Sunday, June 22, 29 @ 2 PM
