Position Overview
Raven Theatre is seeking a passionate and dedicated Development & Communications Manager to support its efforts in individual giving and ticket sales. This role will be instrumental in fostering relationships with our subscribers, patrons, and donors while ensuring consistent and accurate branding of Raven shows and offerings.
The is a full-time position with benefits such as optional BCBS health plan, flexible scheduling, and generous time off package.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising
- Support Executive Artistic Director in cultivation of major donors and corporations for production and educational sponsorships, general operating support, and other funding opportunities.
- Develop and implement individual campaign strategies for two campaigns annually, including letters, emails, social posts, peer-to-peer, etc.
- Maintain donor records and acknowledge gifts.
- Track and maintain donor benefits.
- Support Raven Board of Directors in cultivation efforts.
- Support the creation of an overall fundraising plan for the fiscal year.
Marketing and Communication
- Manage Raven’s online presence through social media, e-blasts, and the website, highlighting Raven theatrical and educational programming.
- Collaborate with the special events team to develop strategies to increase visibility and engagement within the community.
- Develop and sell subscription offerings.
- Create marketing plans for single ticket sales for Raven productions, including poster/postcard distribution, digital ads, cross marketing opportunities, and 3rd party ticket sales, etc.
- Create Raven print and digital program materials and manage the Raven website.
- Create communications calendar supporting all activities taking place in the theatre complex.
- Serve as primary liaison with graphic designer and PR firm.
Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders, ensuring a supportive environment for patrons, donors, subscribers, and board members alike.
- Build Raven events in Audience View platform.
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a timely manner, addressing inquiries about the theater, ticket sales, subscriptions, and donations.
Administrative Support
- Manage certain aspects of the overall budget, including accurate tracking and reporting.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in development, individual giving and/or marketing.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse audiences, patrons, and donors.
- Proficiency and agility in word, excel, and social media platforms. Experience with Audience View and/or GiveSmart a bonus but not required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
