Prop Designer

The Theatre Conservatory at Roosevelt University is looking to hire a prop designer for the coming fall production, The Misanthrope (first rehearsal Oct 13 and performs Nov 21-Dec 7).

Prop Designer Responsibilities:

• Work as part of the design team, especially with the scenic designer and director.
• Create an initial prop list.
• Work with the director, scenic designer and stage manager to maintain and update.
• Attend designer run, tech rehearsals and dress rehearsals as necessary.
• Oversee strike, including the return of rented/borrowed props.
• Maintain accurate accounting of all purchases and submit an expense report and receipts within one week of the final performance.
