Set Designer and Technical Director

The Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company of Chicago seeks a Set Designer and Technical Director for their March 2026 production of The Gondoliers.  The Set Designer and Technical Director will be responsible for all aspects of the scenic design, build, installation, and strike, and will be given a budget for materials, labor, and other miscellaneous costs.  The Set Designer and Technical Director will be expected to work collaboratively with the Stage Director and all members of the Production Team, to meet all agreed-upon deadlines, and to have the ability to troubleshoot, pivot, and solve problems as they arise prior to and during tech week.
