Supervising Associate Director

The Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company of Chicago seeks a Supervising Associate Director for their March 2026 production of The Gondoliers.  The Associate Director will be responsible for leading the rehearsal room for the majority of the 5-week rehearsal process, implementing staging, and executing the directorial vision for the production.  Rehearsals will begin in late January 2026 and run through the first week of March, all in Hyde Park.  The ideal candidate should be an excellent leader and collaborator with good directorial instincts and organizational skills.  Opera or musical theater directing experience is preferred, but not required.
