The Village Theater is kicking off its second season with the Midwest premiere of ALL NIGHTER by Natalie Margolin, directed by Clara Zucker. Applications for assistant director are now open!
Reports To: Director
Overview:
The Assistant Director supports the Director during rehearsals and the production process, helping ensure the artistic vision of the show is effectively carried out in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Attend all rehearsals and assist with rehearsal management
- Attend tech, previews, opening night, understudy run, and strike
- Take occasional blocking notes
- Support actors and communicate director’s notes to them
- Collaborate with the Stage Manager and production team to communicate director’s notes
- Lead understudy rehearsals
Qualifications:
- Interest or experience in directing, acting, or theater production
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work evenings and weekends

Rehearsals begin June 6
Tech July 17-21
Previews July 22, 23
Performances July 24-August 8
Strike August 9
