The Village Theater is seeking a stage hand for their production of Calypso at Rivendell Theatre.
As the stagehand, you will perform such services for the production as discussed between you and The Village Theater team. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Attend tech, preview, all performances, and strike.
- Report directly to the stage manager.
- Assist in placement and organization of props backstage.
- Ensure the stage and backstage areas are clean, organized, and safe.
- Work with the costume designer to execute post performance costume cleaning and maintenance.
- Execute scene changes quickly during blackouts or transitions.
- Move scenery, furniture, and props as required.
- Assist actors with quick changes.
- Return props and costumes to proper areas after every performance.
- Report any damaged equipment or safety concerns.
Dates:
Performances – 11/7 – 11/23 – Thursdays, Fridays, & Saturdays at 8 pm, Sundays at 3 pm, Monday 11/10, 8 pm
Call time is 1 hour before performance begins
Tech — 10/31 – 11/6
Tech hours TBD
Previews – 11/5 & 11/6
Previews begin at 7:30 pm, tech hours prior to previews TBD
Opening – 11/7
Closing – 11/23
Strike – 11/25
