SUMMARY:
Theater Wit seeks experienced Assistant Stage Manager to join our team for our 2026 production of “The Ally”. Applicants must have professional experience and are required to provide their own transportation. Applicants are required to be available for day rehearsals during the week and during the weekend.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attending rehearsals, tech rehearsals, previews, and performances.
- Work closely with the Stage Manager, Artistic Team, and Production Management to provide organization throughout the production.
- Working with the Director, Production Manager and Actors throughout the rehearsal process to help create a welcoming and productive atmosphere for the rehearsal team. This may include tracking blocking, costumes and props, setting up the space, costume care, being on book for actors, running lines, and other capacities.
- The ability to work independently and in a collaborative, dialectical manner
- Run and maintain a crew track during the show. That may include setting/moving and striking props.
- Operating rigging and scene change equipment.

First Rehearsal: Tuesday, February 24th, 2026 (Subject to Change)
Tech: Tuesday, March 17th, 2026 through Saturday, March 28th, 2026
Previews: Friday, March 20th, 2026 – Sunday, March 29th, 2026
Opening: Monday, March 30th, 2026 (Subject to Change)
Regular Run of Show: Thursday through Sunday with possible added performances Tuesday and Wednesday
Anticipated Closing: Saturday, May 2nd, 2026
Advertised Closing: Saturday, May 23rd, 2026
