Theatre in the Dark seeks an Associate Producer (Sponsorships/Community Partnerships) for its upcoming March/April 2021 online audio theatre production MOBY DICK IN THE DARK. Over the past few months, Theatre in the Dark has reached audiences in 40 states, 4 Canadian provinces, and 12 countries while nurturing its growing Chicago fanbase. We’re looking for a creative-thinking Associate Producer interested in maximizing Theatre in the Dark’s community partnerships and production sponsorships while the production runs online through April. This position is flexible and mostly independent (while working in collaboration with other producers), meaning candidates are mostly free to work at their own pace.
–Collaborate with Producing Artistic Director on creation of business sponsorship/community partnership plan.
–Seek out opportunities with targeted Chicago businesses, companies, and community groups.
–Generate ideas, leads, and strategies for sponsorship/partnership approach.
–Secure and organize show sponsorships for MOBY DICK IN THE DARK
–Submit final sponsorship budget.
While Theatre in the Dark operates as a joint-stock producing group, this role is compensated with a percentage commission of sponsorships, plus a smaller joint-stock percentage.
