Key Responsibilities
Production Management & Oversight:

  • Create, manage, and enforce production calendars and deadlines for all mainstage shows, special events, and rentals.
  • Serve as the central communication hub between directors, designers, stage management, and production staff.
  • Handle contracting for all designers and production personnel.
  • Oversee the hiring of overhire labor for all production phases in collaboration with the Managing Director.
  • Schedule and lead all production meetings, ensuring clear communication and actionable design direction.
  • Manage and track production schedules and budgets, reconciling all expenditures within ten days of a show’s closing.
  • Maintain a consistent presence at all designer run-throughs, technical rehearsals, and preview performances.

Technical Supervision & Venue Management:

  • Serve as the resident expert on the technical capabilities of Theo Ubique’s performance space.
  • Manage and maintain a comprehensive inventory of all theatrical equipment (lighting, sound, costumes, tools, etc.).
  • Implement and maintain efficient organizational systems for all storage areas.
  • Manage all technical needs for space rentals and serve as the on-site contact.
  • Operate sound and light boards for off-night events and fundraisers as needed.

Financial & Administrative Support:

  • Assist the Managing Director with running payroll, paying taxes, and reconciling deposits.
  • Manage ticketing system reports as they pertain to production metrics.
  • Support the management of theatre-wide subscriptions and software (e.g., Dropbox, Zoom, Mailchimp).
  • Liaise with the bank and bookkeeper on production-related financial matters.
  • Assist in troubleshooting performer coverage, scheduling, and other administrative tasks as needed.

 

Qualifications

  • A strong commitment to the mission and values of Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre and its dedication to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Access (EDIA).
  • Proven experience in theatrical production management, technical direction, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and gracefully under pressure.
  • Technical proficiency in theatrical lighting, sound, and general stagecraft.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as dictated by production needs.
