Manager of Audience Services

Uptown Music Theater is seeking applications for Manager of Audience Services for the Summer 2026 production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid

Location: Hybrid (remote and at performance venue)

Performance Venue: The Performing Arts Center, Deerfield High School, 1959 Waukegan Rd., Deerfield, IL

Pay: $1000 stipend, plus commission on group sales

Performances: Saturday 7/18/26 – Sunday 8/2/26: Ten performances. Performance schedule includes 7:30pm on Fridays, 2pm and/or 7:30pm on Saturdays, and 2pm on Sundays. And Thursday, 7/23 , 10:00am, as a special morning matinee for young audiences.

Job Description:

The Manager of Audience Services serves as the organization’s principal customer service representative. Specific responsibilities include:

• Handling season pass and single ticket inquiries and orders;

• Managing and maintaining the ticketing system and buyer database, including related website pages, and analyzing subscription and ticket sales;

• Managing and expanding audience development and group sales efforts;

• Attending all performances, managing on-site box office operations, and serving as principal liaison to house management at the venue;

• Collaborating with the development department in solicitation campaigns, data management, and audience events; and

• Other tasks as they arise in what is a versatile and multi-tasking work environment.

Minimum of two years of audience services work experience, including box office experience; strong analytical abilities and computer skills including ticketing systems, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; excellent communication skills, verbal and written; commitment to excellent customer service; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously; Experience in arts administration, and love of musical theater desired.
