September 27: Sustainability Market with Chicago Green Theatre Alliance
Support the Chicago Green Theatre Alliance at Reduce Waste Chicago’s Sustainability Market 2026! Connect with local businesses, artists and organizations all focused on making Chicago more sustainable.
Shifts are split into morning setup support (9am-10:30am) or evening teardown support (3:30pm-5pm).
October 16 & 17: Textile Drop & Swap at Raven Theatre (6157 N Clark St)
The League and Chicago Green Theatre Alliance host drives, or “Drop and Swaps”, each year where anyone can drop off any appropriate materials to find a second life, or to be properly recycled. Join us to support the textile drive in collaboration with Conscious Costume, where theatres and theatre professionals donate costume pieces, accessories, and fabric. Not only do volunteers get to know others in our theatre community, but they also get their first pick of costumes!
Shifts are split into morning (9am – 1pm) and evening (1pm – 5pm) on October 16 + 17 with an additional shift on Thursday October 15 to support event setup.
Together, we can make a lasting impact while fostering a stronger, greener theatre community. 🌱♻️
