Water People Theater is seeking a part-time intern to begin in late June 2021. Looking for smart, pleasant, motivated individuals with terrific organizational and problem-solving skills. Experience with Excel, Canva, and Photoshop preferred, but not required. Spanish is a plus!
Interns will work 20-25 hours per week and are compensated with a stipend.
We’re seeking highly motivated and creative team members willing to learn on the go and develop skills alongside theater professionals.
Water People Theater is a bilingual non-profit organization, dedicated to the development of performing arts and theater. Our mission is to produce high-quality bilingual theater, attract new talent and audiences, promote important humanistic themes, and encourage audiences to embrace a set of values consistent with social harmony. Our primary objectives relate to expanding the boundaries of Latino-theater, and to promote anti-violence themes and messages.

Selected applicants will work with theater professionals to gain greater knowledge of the resources available to them to chart their artistic career and own journey forward. Internships are available during Summer, Fall and Winter/Spring.

Throughout the internship, WPT interns:
- Act as integral members of the organization; obtaining hands-on, real world experience in a creative and supportive atmosphere.
- Develop experience that can be used towards building a professional portfolio.
- Receive one-on-one mentoring from the WPT team.

The level of responsibility and the ongoing workload of an ever-growing artistic non-profit require that interns be highly motivated, energetic, and self-reliant. Internships are part-time and 3-4 months in duration. School-year internships typically require a minimum of 3 days per week.
